Message for potential inovation is coming close to an end IMO. It's limited production, difficulty to modify and its age severely limit any major breakthroughs in mass-produced forced induction. It's always going to be limited to guys who are willing to put the cash and effort into a one-off project. The reason we aren't living in caves is because man knew where to apply his knowledge to benefit the most people. I bet there was a caveman who suggested carving a house from the inside out of a cave instead of making freestanding structures with trees. Sure the carving idea would have been feasible but it's not the kind of idea that would take off and benefit the tribe. Because it is very difficult and has very limited potential to benefit the masses. Just like searching for a cheap way to add forced induction to an NA.
